Becky off her feet for a while

I had just had my ..... Birthday the day before. I had decided to get my self in shape for a busy summer with Kids Camp coming in June.
I was getting all my medical check ups and decided to shed a few pounds.
Wow, what an opportunity to take advantage of playing basketball with our kids and Paul our American missionary friend that loves coming to Casa Shalom. It all just happened too fast. I was in for a fun time. You see I used to be active in sports in high school. Well, that was some years ago. My, how time flies!

I saw the ball coming and reached up and grabbed it just like I did in those high school days. Then I wanted to send it off really fast and as I jumped up to make the pass I heard a strange sound in my foot. It sounded like bones cracking. I knew something happened. I couldn't walk and hopped into the house. Well, that was the end of my basketball game for a while.

I ended up in the emergency room. The found there were no broken bones. Thank God for that. The doctor looked at me and said we should put it in a cast but I can tell you don't have patience for a cast. So I tell you what, ....you wrap it up tight and go home and stay in bed for ten days. Now, understand me, I said in bed. So, that is where I am as I write this blog. Well, this is not easy for me but I will just have to stay here so that I can get up and get running once again.
